Problem is we have had certain trolls and vociferous pillocks which has spoilt our reputation.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Having also followed the OP's thread over on pepipoo, I am both saddened & disappointed at the apparent disdain displayed there towards MSE by certain regular posters.
In fairness to the two "regular posters" you refer to they each made only one short more or less identical comment - and one of them has offered an explanation for his. I agree with the central point of that explanation (that blackcoffee had been "spooked") and am of the view that, in the circumstances, she may not have been best served from an overall perspective - and that includes her experience here and on PePiPoo. Whether the explanation offered is accepted is another matter - though I for one am not going to judge anyone simply because they take a different view.

Those of us who have summonses flop onto our doormat deal with them in different ways and it would probably be widely accepted that whilst some people remain fairly sanguine others can panic to some degree or other. Perhaps we would all do well to bear this in mind when replying to new posters for whom the problem they are confronting is significant even though it is one that, collectively, has been experienced many times before.

I might add as another "regular poster" on PePiPoo (and becoming one here) I have no disdain whatsoever for this forum and would not invest freely of my time here - as we all do - if I did not feel a measure of respect and a desire to be part of it.

Besides, forum knocking isn't constructive and at the end of the day how first time posters come our way is largely a product of what they Google. Its also a matter of "horses for courses". PePiPoo has areas of expertise; MSE has others.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

HO87 - I fully appreciate & totally respect the tone & content of your diplomatic & conciliatary response to my post.

However, if I have left you (or anyone else for that matter} with the impression that I was engaging in 'forum knocking' as you put it, then please let me assure you that was neither the case, nor my intention.

On the contrary, that was exactly the impression I was left with upon reading the other thread & which prompted my post there, followed by my post here expressing my sentiments.
I accept of course, that others may reach a different conclusion to mine.

Having said that, & more importantly, I sincerely hope that the OP overcomes the strong reactions of panic/anxiety to her predicament, & regains the confidence to return to her threads here and/or on pepipoo.

Don't try & go it alone blackcoffee, - come on back.
