I have formatted my maxtor basics 250 Gb drive from NFTS to FAT 32 to use on my PS3.
now on properties it shows that there is about 120 Gb used space and only about 120 GB free space.
what has happened?
how can I fix it?

Format it again? (back to NTFS, check, then back to FAT32 if necessary)
Try low level formatting it using Seagate diagnostic tools? (Maxtor = Seagate these days)0 -

Fat 32 Format
I formatted it using the HP disk storage tool and on a laptop running vista0 -
FAT 32 has limits
To get past them I use SWISSKNIFE ~

(Cant recall why, but I remember you have to unplug and replug the drive back in at some point for it to work, but it works very well)
I formated 250 for my PS3 (Think my latest ones even bigger, cant remember now):idea:0
