Financial hardship????

I recently resent a claim to Natwest, based on the new template on the site. 3 times they have sent me out the standard reply letter with a financial hardship form to fill in and send back. I called them and explained that the hardship is not happening now and that it relates to the charges at the time and that the bank statements they provided cleary show this. The advisor told me that it would not make any difference as Natwest are not paying or looking at any claims any mre including finacial hardship ones!! Does anyone else know about this,I have not read anything abot this anywhere. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Therein lies the problem, if anyone knows the answer can they please tell me and we'll both know. My brother is in the same situation and didn't know anything about the hardship criteria and processes. These have kinda become more important for people in real difficulty than they were at the time, with the info I've looked at I believe it would be difficult to argue hardship retrospectively. I'm going to try though through the Ombudsmen, because he's up the creek without a paddle with the charges and the default (caused by charges!).Mixed Martial Arts is the greatest sport known to mankind and anyone who says it is 'a bar room brawl' has never trained in it and has no idea what they are talking about.0

They are and have to look at financial hardship including historically. You need to write about your situation at the time, what you did to help yourself, what the bank did. etc.etc. Then write back and don't use the telephone cos it is better to have a paper trail.0 -

i would do a SAR and try to get hold of that phone call where the staff member says natwest are not considering any hardship claims as what that basically amounts to is saying natwest are not adhering to the lending code.
should you go to the ombudsman that would be a good piece of eveidence that natwest have not dealt positively and sympathetically with your case or acted in line with the lending code. They couldn't really argue with it as you would have it from the horses mouth that natwest are not considering financial hardship cases which is not in line with the lending code.0
