The reason AIRMAIL isn't going up is because Royal Mail are charged by other postal authorities based on a Universal system so cannot change their pricing structure for these items.
Royal MAil have bought plastic versions of the guides from Avery Berkel for their own staff to use. Avery are selling them to companies now for about £25 ish.
Well firstly they should have commissioned / designed their own plastic version and saved a fortune!
Secondly I don't care that they are making a loss on one area they are making a lot of money overall - you haveto take the rough with the smooth. Personally I don't think that they should be running as a business - they should be running as a public service which allows the UK Economy and businesses to run smoothly and better than the rest or Europe - but thats a totally different issue.0 -

You don't need to take it to the post office - just dummy wrap it as you would to send it it weigh it and try it in the cardboard gauge to see if it's letter, large letter or packet and then use the chart to find the cost.
I guess it will take a minute or so longer but thats all.0 -
i was always told by royalmail that they do not get charged once it leaves the country, this is an agreement they have with all countries to deliver each others mail, when we send stuff to russia we had somebody always paying late, who said it was our fault as russia did not except franking machine payment instead of stamps ,post office said it was a load or rubbish ,as all countries have an agreement about delivering each others mail.Headinaviceboy wrote:Royal Mail are changing their prices to reflect the costs.
