Hi,
just changed my "no-name-lcd" to the Toshiba Regza 32" which according to reviews is miles ahead of any "low-bugdet-kcd-tv's".
Got the TV (due to discount) for roughly £285 and must say i am well impressed, though I am struggeling with the picture settings and wonder if anyone can help me.
Is there any guideline on how to set up a picture on an LCD TV?!
It seems the picture with my Xbox on this TV seems dark-ish, but then nice and rich of colours. (HDMI) Probably the way it was meant to be...
I might also have the problem that 1.5 weeks ago, I was using an old big TV and the first LCD which I changed was an Alba TV from Argos. It wasnt bad, but sound was not as good and than I got the offer for this Toshiba....
Any help?
Markus

Basics ~
Brighntess and Backlight to set BLACK levels

Contrast to set WHITE levels

(I use the pics in those links, if you have a THX dvd disc then that will have a setup part on it)
Sharpness ~ dont set too high like a lot of people (A lot of tvs are on the lowest level)
Colour ~ set so it looks natural
Digital processing (Loads of names dependant on tv, DNR, Contrast enhance, Live clour etc etc). Switch them ALL off
ECO settings ~ ALL off:idea:0 -
If you post the EXACT make and model I could probably help you more:idea:0

Have a search for your model number on avforums.
Kind souls will usually post up calibrated settings.0
