Well you can currently get a Advance Single for £32.20 on the 21:05 from Euston... change at Stockport. Arr HCH at 00:15.
If you want to travel at any other time, yes it is over £55.
  • Thank you for that.......Someone has to pick me up at the other end so it's a bit late. I have been searching for over a month for cheap tickets and they have all been this price.

Guess I'll have to drive up there then.

You really think the fuel is going to be cheaper (especially when wear and tear factored in)?

What you could do (and technically you can't pass a ticket on to someone else) is get a saver return (cost is £56, as opposed to a saver single at £55) and sell the other portion (it can be used any time within one month).

Cancellation policy for what? You look as though you have wandered into the wrong thread
  • Hello
This is my first ever post so I hope it is ok. I am told that the Daily Mail does a discount code for a family and friends railcard each year - does anyone know when this is likely to appear? I have been searching for months and don't want to spend full price only for the discount to appear the following week! Thanks, all.

This year's offer expired on 31 July - it was mentioned several times on this site.

So next summer, unfortunately, unless someone else runs a similar offer
