I stumbled across this page offering up to 60% off FGW fares:

    http://www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk/Content.aspx?id=848

Does anyone know if the offer is still valid - if so, it looks like it needs a code from a flyer or a sports programme to validate it?
  • £5 Off at TheTrainLine.com Enter Code: LTTL5D

Works and just booked 2 tickets with it, hint book tickets seperately and use the code over and over :)
  • LTTL5D

This works just fine. £5 off.
You don't have to book seperately. It discounts EACH ticket by £5.

I tried this code, it works on the MM I tickets, but won't work on the MM H tickets, so I only save 35p per ticket!

Would there be any reason for this?

Edit: Oh its because they're under £20! Arghh! Oh well!

Just used the American Express code and got a great deal with it, somehow ticket was £12 cheaper the best price I found without using the offer, and the £22 Amex ticket leaves London at 16.30 rather than 15.30 like the £34 standard one. So I don't have to take the mick too much with the time I leave work.

It still seems to accept the code but the fare I was quoted was the normal one. Maybe it's only some routes.

I notice that it doesn't work with all the tickets. What are the terms on this one? i.e. do you have to spend over a particular amount?

Yes - each ticket has to be over £20.
