UPS possible scam

I have recieved the following

UPS Delivery Problem NR 95033.

From:UPS Manager Kelli Flores <parcel.delivery@ups.com>

Add to ContactsTo:**************@ymail.com UPS_invoice_365.zip (51KB)

Dear customer!

Unfortunately we were not able to deliver the postal package sent on the 6th of December in time
because the addressee's address is erroneous.
Please print out the invoice copy attached and collect the package at our department.

United Parcel Service of America.

Do you think its a scam? One point of interest, the name on the email address was one letter out.
Regards

If the received from address is indeed ups.com then nope its not a scam, probably a wrong e-mail address entered by them or the customer.

But still do not open the zip file.

Yes its a scam, a proper e-mail would include your name.

Apparently the attachment contains a virus so I'd do a scan as well if I were you.

The senders email address can easily be spoofed so that should not be relied upon at all.

And the email will be spam.

It just screams spam doesn't it. My only thought was that I did lose a DVD in the post in early December.

I've printed out the email and I'll take it to the local UPS and see if its legit.

The Email has been deleted with the attachment unopened.

    Or Fedex.

Basically- there are very few couriers who will email you with this kind of thing.* They will put a card through the door, but email is always suspect.

*Not entirely none, as I've had a few genuines, but they never ask for opening attatchments - more your parcel will be delivered today types.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine
