How to insert adsense in header of asp page... driving me mad!

Three days, three whoooooole days trying to do this!!! I have changed my website, and now have it up and running. I want to add google adsense, and a google search bar. I am using ecommerce carts, the instructions say 'open the header asp and insert banners etc in here' Well I have tried!!!! I have tried on dreamweaver and net object fusion, trouble is I am not entirely sure what am I doing despite following the instructions! The only thing I did manage to do was to get rid of my banner and site search box and google didnt even appear in its place! I fixed that! I am getting mega confused and losing the will to live :mad: I want to put google in there, and I wast to put an About us page in there too....... but I cant! The header is on an asp page, I gather that is active server.I log into the website to add product etc, but any editing of the pages is not actually on the site ( dont I sound knowledgeable ) Crikey thats about it! Any help grovel grovel in plain english I can understand would be appreciated........... if not I may have to go and watch big brother :eek:

hey chippy, yep read that a hundred times, followed it through, still cant get it on my page tho

Is Javascript enabled? If you put normal text where the ad would go does that appear?
