Co-operative Bank online banking

Hello everyone - newbie to posting on here, but I've been a long-time lurker :)

I'd be interested in hearing other co-op bank's customer's thoughts on their online banking website.

I joined them about a year ago and think they're a fantastic bank - customer service has been second to none. But their online banking site feels very basic and crude compared to others. As I do 99% of my banking online, decent online banking is important and I'm reluctantly considering switching to a different bank for better online features such as the ability to name accounts, quick transfers, search statements, paperless billing, to name a few.

I really don't want to leave as I've been incredibly happy with every other aspect of being a customer with them, but this crude website is getting a bit long in the tooth. What concerns me more is that Smile don't seem to have updated their online banking website for years. Should I stay with them in hope that an update is coming?

I agree that the Co-op'ss internet banking is a bit behind the times which, like you say, is a shame considering the good points the bank has. Saying this, no bank is perfect and I guess it just depends on what you need/want as a customer that determines who you choose as your main bank.

I think the Co-op are busy with their integration of Britannia, which I imagine will bring some IT improvements, and I also remember someone on here saying that a complete overhaul of the internet banking for around 2011...

I opened an account with the co-op a few months ago and was happy about the evil RBSs, HSBCs and Barclays of this world not profiting from my money, but the internet banking turned me off and I ended up with RBS :(

I remember them saying they would upgrade their business banking this year, so I emailed to ask if this would extend to the personal banking and they replied saying they had no plans to change the online personal banking system :(

I e-mailed them today and got this response:
In the short term there are no plans to change internet banking too much
however we are currently in the process of updating all of our banking
systems. Once this is complete we are planning some big upgrades to the
    internet banking service.

    Which sounds promising :T
