Limited Editions Corgi Land Rovers

Hi All wonder if anyone can give me some good advice here.

I have a Harley Davidson Maisto bike and a Limited Edition Corgi Land Rover, I don't think I'd get much for the bike but was thinking of putting it on ebay to see if I get a sale. Both are boxed and barely been out of either of them TBH.

The Land Rover however is their 50th Edition Limited edition one which is gold plated it's a 1:43 size model. Is there a special place to put them on ebay for these kind of SE's, I've seen the Corgi one but they're more or less run of the mill ones.

Anyone got an idea on how much opening offer I should ask for this one, I believe they were sold at the time for either £15 or £20 (mine was a present and it was around 7 - 8 years ago I got it). I can't remember how many of the SE's were done but I think they were still quite rare and possibly not many will have got them as we had to order them specially to get them. There is someone with his truck on LE for around £1.5k!!! I'm not expecting that but I'd rather have the money for it rather than it sitting on top of the wardrobe still in it's box!

They are for the adult collector (from what it says on the box!) :D

Any guidance would be very gratefully received.

They seem rare as there is very little information on the web about them. One retailer is sold out and that's about it.
I'd start at what you would like for it and see how it goes.

I once sold a copy of "Commando" comic #1 on eBay. It was in poor condition and book value was about £20. First time up I listed with a reserve of £100 just to see if it got any bids - it sold!
    Can I help?

Thanks for that - I don't think it'll be worth as much as your comic though, I can't find anything on the LR or Corgi website about them and haven't been able to source one elsewhere so must be quite rare.

If I put it on 10 days today I'll get over 2 weekends and there may be a LR thing on over one or both weekends and people maybe talk together about it.

Here's hoping anyway :p Will put it on tonight so to get more interested buyers at the end of the time too hopefully!

Will put a reserve on it, so hopefully it will go. Wonder if that truck advertised will sell though! You could get 3 cars (full size for less than the SE truck!)

    Thanks again

Good luck with it. If it doesn't go this time it may be worth hanging on for a few months to see if it will go as a Christmas present.
The point about the comic was that it wasn't officially worth what I got for it, I was just lucky with a bidder. The same may happen to you.

    Is it this?

IT's going for £29.99 on the corgi website but it's a range rover not a land rover?

Rdwarr - yes, I've managed to not sell first time but sell better than expected 2nd time with a couple of items. Hey you were lucky, it only needs 2 bidders against one another and a rare item and it's better for seller.

Hopefully it'll be out of my place way before Chrimbo!

Rebekah - no that's the recent one, as you say it's the Range Rover and the one I've got is one of the first built Land Rovers so completely different model, the one I've got is around 8 years old and I think it's a 109 but not sure - early ed Landy anyway.

The card is enclosed and only 5900 were made so relatively rare I think - must do a post outside of UK one this time I think!

Can't find it on any website I've googled yet - any LR enthusiasts around?

May wait until I see an old colleague of mine who is mad about LR's and ask him what model the thing is before I put it on ebay.

Why not put it on gumtree.com and see how many offer you get? Just a thought.

This site is the one that's sold out (so everybody knows what we're talking about) :)

Lazymoezy - I hadn't really heard of gumtree so would probably put it on ebay as probably get more people interested - thanks anyway.

Redwarr - yes that's the one thanks for that, I couldn't locate it when I tried Corgi, could only find the RR ones.

Have sold another item on ebay which will finish during week so that'll be another feedback this week I hope.

Are people ok buying from someone with 30 - 32 feedbacks mostly from selling for approx £100 or should I wait for another month or two and build my feedback first? I've only started in March but am happy enough with the feedback amount so far. I see others selling cars etc on it with 6 feedbacks for 10+k; most of mine have put +ve feedback and commented about the speedy delivery. Most of my items have been for smaller value though (under £10) and the most was £40 but I would send this by special delivery, if it got to past its reserve, there's a couple I'm currently watching which are LE's but not this one which I'll see if they are bidded on before I put mine on or reducing the reserve on it.
