Hi
I have a property in England, but live in Spain, it is managed by a letting agent, there has recently been a report from the tenant that the extractor fan in the bathroom has stopped working.
The letting agents recommended company have been in and sent me the following report
"call out to extractor in bathroom that has stopped working. Found to be blown due to water ingression from incorrectly run vent pipe that is terminated in loft."
this cost £47.00+ VAT
To rectify this ventilation bathroom and kitchen via extraction to soffet vents + fitting a new fan in bathroom.
cost £575.00 + VAT
Can anyone tell me if this is a reasonable quote,

sounds totally unreasonable to me, if the fan was £100, and they are not, thats £375 to fit it, plus VAT. You must get more quotes... regards bri0

Sorry thats £475 to fit the fan and some duct work !! I wonder how much an hour the are quoting bri0

See if you can find an electrician near your rental and arrange direct with him??0
