Your branch will let you know if you can.
Get an easy saver card so you can use any cash point to withdraw money in the mean time.0 -
Would they do a credit check (I would fail, alas) or do they look at account conduct (I have been good, decent salary etc)?0

Gosh, it depends on a lot of factors including your credit score. Yes they will score you.
Even if you got a bad score after managing your account well for a number of months you MAY be eligible. eg Decent wages paying in, no bounced DD's , SO's.
Dont forget to get an easy saver to use the card at any cash point!0 -

Thanks...So it may be possible at some point i.e. we're not talking years/never i.e. some customers do? If you get to upgrade, do you then get full services like the possibility of offers over time etc?0 -
I honestly dont know much of your personal circumstances to make a decision and I doubt I can when it comes to Lloyds.
The reality of the situation is that some customers have been in the situation that you are in for years without the possibility of upgrading their account. Whilst some can get upgraded after months.
You do get offers when you are have the classic (or any other full account ) but again that also depends on your credit file and the way you run your accounts.
The important thing for you to do is to run your accounts fine.
Keep money in your accounts for your direct debits to come out. Ensure money is in your account for the WORKING DAY BEFORE for your Standing Orders etc, monitor account on Internet Banking etc, have the text alert service if you can etc.
Just run your account fine and in time they may offer you an upgrade.
Again in the mean time dont forget to get the Easy saver saving account , for the cash card which you can use at any cash point!0
