Plastic panels instead of tiles in bathroom?

Has anyone had any plastic panels/cladding fitted to bathrooms/showers, in place of ceramic tiles?
I'm just after some feedback about any short term and longer term issues - such as fading, cleaning, mould, damage etc

Hi my bro has just fitted these pannels to his bathroom hes pleased with them and recons they will be easy to change when hes fed up with the colour
myself I think it looks like a playboys bathroom

My friend did their bathroom about five years ago with the panels. They are very pleased with them and the panels look much the same as when fitted.
I prefer the look of tiles but each to his own.0 -

I fitted mermaid panels in my shower as I was sick of tile grout discolouring over time. They are not plastic though.
Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!
