finally decided to block Italy

I get very few losses, I don't think I had any last year with over 1200 parcels sent. However this year so far I have had three, and two of those have been to italy. It still only represents a small percentage in real terms especially as I have increased my sales by a large percentage from this time last year, but it does seem that Italy is an issue.
I've reluctantly decided to block that country for a while and see how much it affects my sales. maybe I'll give it another go later when any problems they might be having with their post is sorted out.

I post to Italy a lot and items take longer to arrive there than to any other country (except Brazil possibly). In the last six months I've had several non-receipt claims but no country has featured more than once so only one to Italy. The problem with Italians is they don't believe their postal service is bad whereas Brazilians do!0

You see, there is a REAL difference between sending a parcel to Venice and a parcel to Naples.
There is a North Italy and a South Italy... like day & night. Anybody tried to compare lost in the post sending to the north with sending to the south of the country? Amazing...!*_*_* Department of Redundancy Department *_*_*0 -
I was so pleased when i could finally block italy......I have posted there several times and with no exxageration at least 70% result in having to refund for item not received...have no experience with Brazil but italy is the only place i block....that is if i remember to, shame Ebay cannot manage to "save" block italy, instead I have to manually do this for every new item.Never put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing altogether.:D0

I sell quite a few bits which I post to Europe and the only country I have ever had a problem with is Holland where 2 parcels have gone missing (6 months apart). Never a problem with Italy.0

You can entirely block italy now, but it isn't a logical way that you have to do it. I'll never eplain where to find the setting again, (it isn't with the block countries) but if you use the ebay help it will turn up the answer.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If you choose "sell similar" instead of starting a new listing it will remember all your blocking countries, buyer requirements, number of items etc... you just need to change the title, categories, text, picture etc... up tp you.
The only think it seems not to remember is to keep the "Immediate payment req".*_*_* Department of Redundancy Department *_*_*0 -
If you set your seller preferences it remembers all the countries you send to anyway. If you choose "sell similar" instead of starting a new listing it will remember all your blocking countries, buyer requirements, number of items etc... you just need to change the title, categories, text, picture etc... up tp you..0 -
I have also had trouble with sending items to Italy. the latest one being a paypal dispute for item not received. I find it a bit of a coincidence ( or not ) that the buyer wanting a refund has had 14 refunds in 120 days.
Is there any one i should be reporting this to or just let it run its course through paypal dispute0 -

How do you know they have 14 refunds in 120 days?
You will still lose a chargeback anyway.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
