Hi all,
I have a very tempremental Warm Air system in my 3 bedroom maisonette. It's about time, particularly with the boiler scrappage scheme, that I invested in a new central heating system. The existing system generally breaks down once or twice a year, and it seems always when the weather is at it's coldest.
Having looked through some of the threads here, I know that I need to get a few quotes in (and not just take the £5k quote from British Gas!). I've got some pointers from the HHIC website, but would appreciate some forumites' recommendations - a good job is more important than price, but that's not to say price isn't an issue too!
Any companies worth checking out in the Hertfordshire / North London area, please?

I live in North London/Essex and I found my CH company from the Trading Standard Approved trader list (Google "buywithconfidence"). As I can't find anyone who can recommend a company to me (just moved into a new area), I find this list assuring as the companies listed there have been vetted and approved by Trading Standards.
However, bear in mind that the companies from the list might not the cheapest (out of 6 different quotes, a company from the list are the 2nd most expensive). Still I went with them.
The price of £2500 inclues a Valliant 831 boiler, Magnaclean, descaler, powerflush An icing on the cake is that the price includes a 5 year boiler warranty! by Valliant themselves!
PM me if you want the name of the company.0
