  • Eh?
How can more people be forced to rent due to a shortage of housing? More people have to live in a house due to a lack of houses????!!!!!!

I wonder whether they mean that people are renting due to a lack of houses for sale?

    I think they do.

If it is cheaper to rent in the long run, why would anyone in their right mind buy?

    Who said anything about that?

It's vastly more expensive to rent than buy in the long run. Prices would have to rise an awfully long way, without rents rising at all, for that situation to change.

i wouldn't even bother trying to explain Hamish, some of these people are a bit slow... if it's so much cheaper to rent than buy why do people make money out of letting property to tenants.

but then you contradict yourself and make yourself look stupid in one post - that wasn't too hard was it

it's always good to see one of the less bright member of the audience is unable to explain why renting is cheaper over 25 years... but resorts to this. :T
