I get the bog standard SMP, so 6 weeks at 90%, then £123 a week for the remainer of the 9 months. It's quite a large company too!
Why should it matter if it is a large company? It probably is a large company by not paying out extra on maternity pay that they won't get back in terms of employment/productivity etcAlways ask ACAS0 -
Almost every company I have worked for it has been 6 months not that it matter to me being a guy but maybe its just been luck with the companies I have worked for so far!
Yep, i'd say luck because it most definitely isn't that common! The majority of employers would just offer the statutory minimum.0 -

Because most large companies I know have some sort of maternity scheme. This is the first large company I've come across that doesn't! I just think it's unusual.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

Sorry, forgot I posted here! No, there is no information - not that I have been given an employee handbook! I don't dare asking, as I don't want them to know what is on my mind, especially, with the salary reviews going on at the moment. Our company was bought by another and is being 'integrated' at the moment. I found on the intranet the maternity pay for the other two divisions of the company, so I guess we will be given the same:
Weeks 1-6 - 100%
Weeks 7-12 - 50%
Weeks 13-39 - SMP.
Not much, but better than a kick in the teeth. Also, there was a sentence about 'back to work' bonus if you come back full time - 10%. But is it of annual salary or monthly I couldn't make it. Of course, all 'over' pay to be paid back if you leave within 1 year of coming back from maternity leave.
Btw, my previous job had 100% for 6 months, then SMP for the rest. So, even though I am in the same industry, and this company doesn't offer anything close to it. The salary is better though!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Abything more than statutory is very good in my opinon. I wouldnt complain if my other half recieved the above or 6 months full, she got SMP, and shes a teacher!0
