Next Returns policy?

Hi
Just a quick question regarding taking a faulty item back to Next.

My little brother bought me a necklace from Next a couple of weeks ago and today it fell off as the catch has broken! He hasn't kept the receipt and paid with cash! Will Next be willing to swap it for another necklace? The store is quite a drive for me and with a newborn I don't want to make a wasted trip. I know its not much (cost around 15.00) but it was a present and has got sentimental value.

I've never returned anything to Next before without the receipt and was wondering what they might do.

Thanks.

Without a reciept or any kind of proof of purchase you'd be struggling to get them to do anything. You never know though, it should be pretty obvious that the necklace is one of Next's.

Thanks, that was my worry too!

It is obvious it's a Next necklace, they have them online and it even says 'Next' on the catch, so they can't dispute that it was bought from their store! Lets hope the store will be willing to swap it over, and I will remind little brother to save receipts (he's only 13, so not really going to blame him!)

You could try ringing the store, otherwise i'd say it's likely that they will just replace it.

Tell your brother to always keep receipts, useful life lesson!

They could however dispute whether it was "bought" at all.

Marks & Spencer used to get stung regularly when they had a "no receipt = credit note" policy on St Michael's branded goods. They soon stopped the practice after they found that many of the "returned" goods had never actually left the store.
