Sell on ebay or autotrader?
Hey guys, just asking for a matter of opinion I guess maybe from some of you guys experiences.
Basically I am about to sell my car and have been considering putting it on ebay... have any of you done this before and did it go smoothly?
Autotrader will cost me £20 for a website ad alone, ebay will cost £9 and if it sells it will cost me £20, or 1% if it sells for over £2000 so it'll be a bigger cost overall...
Just a general question to see if you guys have any feedback, opinions or input!
Appreciated, cheers.

Personally I have found that cars sell on ebay for less money. I would always put my car on pistonheads first as it's free, if no takers there after 2 weeks I would put it on autotrader and if after say 3 weeks it had not sold I would then put it on ebay.0

Okay cheers, never heard of pistonheads0

It is much cheaper to advertise in Exchange & Mart than AutoTrader. You can advertise both online & in the paper version.0

Afraid I never look at Exchange and Mart these days.0 -
And does anyone but Autotrader in the paper version any more??
Sawa Dec edition in the dentist waiting eroom the other day, priced at £2.70 !!!
Why pay to advertise in the mag, when online is prob the place most people go.......0 -
online is the only way nowadays. i wouldn't advertise in papers or ought like that unless your after pensioners to buy your car. try helpfindmea.co.uk, buyyourcar, netcars0

If you're going to sell via autotrader make sure you go via quidco as you get 25% of the fee returned in cashback.0
