So, had our interview with cccsva on 23/12/09. Sent off all requested paperwork on 12/01. Then they spent 4 further weeks asking for more info and copies of other documents NOT on their original list. I spoke to them yesterday and was told that they are passing my file to have the draft iva written up this week!!!
Why is it taking so long??? I have received so many chasing calls and letters and am so stressed out about it all!
To put the icing on the cake my wages for the
month were offset by the bank for my loans arrears (I work for the same bank) and now I am missing a months salary!!
Mortgage co won't let us take a payment holiday so this is adding to my stress!
Just can't believe it's taking so long to sort out!!!

Not sure if this will make you feel any better, but I had my first telephone interview with CCCS at the end of August 2009. They more or less straightaway referred me to CCCSVA, and whilst I can't recall when I had my first conversation with them, the creditors meeting finally took place in January!
Obviously during this time I was chased by my creditors - in the end I had to get my telephone number changed as they were driving me up the wall.
I never really understood why it took so long - I too had to supply additional paperwork which was not on their original list.
However, despite the delay, I can't fault the final outcome. The IVA proposal was accepted with no significant modifications. I think that in the current climate they are simply overwhelmed with people seeking their help.
I know it is a bit painful for you at the moment, but I have just enjoyed my first month not worrying about my debts for as long as I can remember.
Good luck.0 -
Hello
Just out of interest- what sort of paperwork did you have to send in- i'm in process of applying for an IVA- so far they've asked me for proof of tax credits & a cash flow summary for hubbys business
Thanks0 -
I had to provide proof of income (wage slips for 3 months, child tax credits, child benefit), bank statements for 3 months, proof of debts (statements from credit cards, statement of account for personal loan), proof of secure debts (had to be a full statement for both mortage and second secured loan - both lenders charged for these!), copies of untility bills I think, copies of vehicle log books V5 documents.
Some of this was not asked for in their intial bundle - they added some extra documents, and for others wanted extra detail.0
