[title=http://images2.moneysavingexpert.com/images/dp/wtd_underline.gif]wtd_icon.gif What's the deal?[/title]

Morrisons has announced from Thursday 4th March until Sunday 7th, it is offering £5 off £15 and £25 iTunes gift cards, instore.

The £15 denomination cards represent the best value by far, as you'll get 50% extra free instead of 25% on the £25 cards. So, if you're after a lot of downloads, it's best to buy multiple £15 cards, rather than £25s.

The supermarket has confirmed this is available nationwide while stocks last. Best to get down there early though, as they're likely to disappear fast.

Remember, iTunes is rarely cheapest for mp3 downloads - though this discount will boost the value - but check its competitors prices at www.tunechecker.com

    Just a small word of caution.This offer was supposed to run last week but was cut at the last minute due to "technical difficulties".It was stated in bulletins at morrisons that it would run at some point in the future.Hopefully they have the problem sorted and it will run this week instead.

    Is it worth it? In almost every case iTunes is more expensive than the competition, even with a 33% discount; and at least for them you don't have to pay in advance.
  • It's a great promotion if you are thinking of buying any pricey apps from the app store. Last time they ran it, I bought the Co-Pilot app (with European maps), which ended up costing me £33.33 instead of £49.99 :j

    Its great for the apps - my sons have educational things like french tutor as well as the usual games too! Occassionally the music is cheaper but it makes great presents :beer:

  • It's great for iTunes exclusive tracks, for instance John Barrowman 'The Doctor & I' which although was 99p simply can't be bought elsewhere.
    2025 - finally back comping after a stressful house move - send me fairy dust please

    Wonder if they will impose a limit per customer. However, since they don't have a loyalty scheme, it's easy to just pop in at other times before Sunday and buy another if they did impose a limit.
