I'm currently half way through a 12 month self renewing contract (in the 2nd year) and want to leave. Has anyone done this and how much did it cost you to get out of it?
Thanks

Depends on what call plan your on.
You will normally incur a single charge of £7.50 (with the Unlimited Evening & Weekend plan) or £8.00 (with the Unlimited Anytime plan) for each month left of your contract.0 -

If you complain that BT have changed the terms of the contract by changing the evening free period from 6pm to 7pm they should release you without any charge or penalty.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0

Yes but the time limit to do this has long passed.;), and it would not apply if the op was on unlimited anytime plan.0 -

How can the time to do this have passed? I didn't even realise it had happened, I'm sure I received no letter about the changes in off peak times.0 -
You have 30 days to cancel from the date you were notified.
Notification was by email or in little type at the back of one of their "good news" letters that came with your bill.0
