I want to know out of interest.
How much should a person spend on grocery's? Is it a difficult question?
If you know the answer why not say? Why ask why I want to know? Why does anyone want to know anything?
I don't get it!0 -
How old are you, what is your postcode approx, how many kids do you have, are you in a couple or on your own ?
It is too variable. I could sit here and say you should only be spending £43 on groceries a month and you could sit there thinking oo so thats £43 for me, £43 for my wife, £43 for each of my kids....etc and it doesnt work like that. Then other people come along and go '''ooooo I should only be spending £43 a month on groceries, I'll change my IE sheet so it looks like I am ha ha'' oops now I'm in !!!!! because I actually spend £70 on groceries and now I cant afford my debt repayments'' etc you get the idea.LegalBeagles0 -

lol well not unless you are under 14

pm me if you like how much your monthly household expenses budget is (with the list I put above - I dont need the breakdown just the final figure)
I'll help you with your spreadsheet if you need help but it isnt a matter of fitting your figures to the triggers - its an overall budgeting thing, somethings outweigh others etc.
As a general guide if you are spending more than £550 a month on all that list above its probably too much.LegalBeagles0 -
Budgeting stuff I think is in its own forum on MSE somewhere xx They will have much better ideas.LegalBeagles0
