I have just recieved a list of charges that were added to my account with studio the ppi alone adds up to over £200 also on there is a service charge which i had never really noticed before that totals almost £300 i was quite shocked at the amount i was actually paying each month all for a debt of around £300 its shocking. Are service charges lawful? if they are i will be paying that off sharpish. Helen xx:eek:

    Hi Helen

I am not sure about Service Charges side of it but there is no harm in mentioning this in a letter if your about to reclaim for being mis sold, if this was mis sold to you.

The above link is helpful, there are letter templates to help you through this, I would personally write in your own words, then of course bring up about the service charge as well.
They have 8 weeks in full to respond, keep at them.

However, hopefully someone will post who have had dealings with this company of their experience, with some advice for you too, good luck with this.

    Hi There,

I am currently pursuing the service charges that have been added onto my account via the small claims court. They have 28 days to respond to the summons.

If you have any default sums, they will promptly remove these but unfortunately, service charges are a bigger fight. I was in the same position as you and noticed that my balance was double what I though it was because of the service charges, which was nearly £30 a time. They have since told me that a service charge is applied every month and to every new purchase aswell. The minimum service charge they can add is £1 so I have requested that they replace every service charge entry on my account what that amount. They refused and 6 months and numerous letters later, I issued court papers.

    Lets see what happens!!
