Is it a good idea to use the same EA?

Hi,
We've seen a house we're very interested in, and are about to put ours up for sale. We've had three agents round, all of whom valued ours at exactly the same price, and I've discussed commission and lock-in and they'll all do the same deal.
What I'm wondering then is, is it a good idea to go with the agent that is marketing the property we want to buy? I can see pros and cons - but I thought I'd ask the experts for their thoughts...
Thanks all,
S13

I think it works quite well to go with the same EA, they stand to get 2 sales out of it so they'll work harder to sell yours. BUT usual considerations apply-do they use rightmove, is it the right agent for your type of property, have they treated you well as a potential buyer etc.Scar tissue that I wish you saw, sarcastic mister know it all, close your eyes and I'll kiss you cause with the birds I'll share this lonely view.0

It will give you a better indication if there are any problems in the chain.0

Hi, thanks for responses. I was just a bit worried that the EA may know we are looking for a fairly substantial reduction in price, and prefer the property to be sold to someone else.
I'm also assuming we can't make an offer until we've got one on our own house, so its not really a matter of a chain....just crossed fingers.
