Morning diary, nothing too exciting to report from here really!

Only that I had a NSD last week and yesterday and hopefully today too. Think il need bread and milk either tomorrow or Wednesday but we did a shop for fruit veg etc on Saturday so that will keep us going. Ive also meal planned right up to my next pay day which is a week on Friday so really other than a few fresh bits for the kids and bread and milk we shouldnt have any big expense.

Yesterday I made a homemade quiche for tonights tea so thats that sorted for when we roll through the door tonight! I do love being organised and it really pays!!

    Catch up soon :D

Morning pennywise, thanks for my complement!!
We dont get in to the house until going on for 6pm so I like to get sorted and then we can just warm something up when we get in and we are not eating too late.

Well yesterday was supposed to be a NSD until a lady at work was collecting sponsor money in for Race for Life, so had to give her that!
Today will be a NSD as I dont need bread or milk until tomorrow. Think I will nip out to Morrisons tomorrow lunchtime and pick a few things up for under £10 im hoping.

Im well impressed with hubby hes getting into the food moneysaving part too!! I set him out to Tesco express for toilet roll last week and he came back with Andrex because it was on offer and was cheaper than Tescos own!
Then he made a suggestion to change the meal plan round cos we had some teacakes that needed using up. I am very impressed he is getting there little by little :A.

Anyway, think thats it from me. Happy Tuesday and the sun is shining!!!

    Morning diary.

Well a productive evening last night managed to get quite a few jobs done in the house.

Nipped to Morrisons this morning and spent £17 on bread, milk, fruit and nappies oh and fathers day cards. So hopefully that will be it with spending this week!!!

    Morning diary,

Not sure what I have to report really. Had 1 NSD last week which isnt brilliant but better than 0 I suppose!!

Got a letter about MBNA putting their interest rates up come August so im going to opt out of that one and close the account and then pay it off bit by bit.
So that will be 2 cards removed from temptation then! MBNA's rates are scandolous as it is so need that one cleared ASAP really.

Went out for a meal yesterday using one of the Dads eat free vouchers from the site. Was nice and wasnt overly expensive.

Dont think I really need to spend this week. Will need fresh milk, bread and fruit at some point, maybe tonight as im not sure what DH took to work today. Have got the meals planned for this week aswell and have everything in for them. Have enough nappies, wipes etc to get us through. Payday Friday yippee!!!
Really need to do a 'big' shop as everything is running low now. So will go at some point over the weekend.

    Catch up soon :D

Yippee :j! Just checked quidco and im getting £14 from AA paid on 30th June. Will pay that straight off Halifax card I think.

That has actually really made my day :D!

  • Well done on Quidco, its great when you get a bit of money your not expecting.
I Really need to do a big shop as well, but to be honest just cannot get motivated, might start it online.

    Morning diary,

Well ive just emailed MBNA to opt out of the new rate increase. They will contact me within 2 business day, im presuming just to confirm this change as the card will no longer be active :T.

Yesterday I nipped out to the local farmshop and bought milk, fruit, meat for sandwiches and chicken for fahitas on Thursday night. Spent £13 which wasnt too bad but then this morning all the fruit has nearly all gone from us having made lunches for work etc .

So come Thursday we will have no fruit in! But will need bread so will have to buy more fruit aswell. I never realised how quickly we went through things until im keeping tabs on it all!!

Pennywise - I used to do online shopping but I preferred Sainsburys for that. I find now that actually going in myself I seem to spend loads less which I know sounds mad but I do!

I wrote out my shopping list last night and a meal plan for the next 9 days. We need everything and I mean everything! DH sits there moaning that hes getting 'bored' of the same things. I do try loads of variety but every month its same things we tend to eat. Might have to look on the other boards to get some ideas of meals.

    Catch up soon :p
