Thanks SA. Its one of DH's cousins and I think she's limited numbers which is why she hasn't invited them. I personally invited all the children to my wedding although there wasn't as many then!! Each to their own I suppose isn't it xx

    Morning Diary,

Had a lovely lie in this morning, love having a Monday off work since its my long day at work :)

Only plans for today are to tackle the ironing mountain since I haven't done any this weekend so this will take a good hour if not more.
Think were also going to look and maybe buy paint for DD2's bedroom.

Other plans are a roast chicken for tea, well slow cooked since I've just put it in the slow cooker.

    Happy Monday all xx

    Afternoon Diary,

Completed my ironing... 1.5 hours later  note to self try and keep up to it where possible although this is only 3 wash loads since Saturday .

Been to B&Q and spent £70 :o, £45 on decorating things for DD2's bedroom and the rest on things for the garden including a new hose pipe. This will come out of DH's bonus money.
We've just been out in the garden re-seeding it as its got a fair few bald patches and planting some strawberry plants we bought.

Then half filled my car with £30 of petrol. I usually fill it right up on payday but my friend was saying she tops up £20 a week as that lasts longer with the car not weighing as much. Interested to hear what other people do aswell?

Thats about all. Im chilling now until time to do the tea xx

  • Ironing is the bane of my life. I hate unironed clothes, and actually I don't mind ironing, but finding the time to do it is a nightmare!
Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.
Divorcing, unclear on final debt total right now, but focusing on building a financial buffer zone.

At least you've spent on practical things MTG, I've bought a bag and dress today. Not exactly on my shopping list!!! Pesky Debenhams and their Spectacular events.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

I love ironing but I hate cleaning. I used to have a cleaner (when I lived with my ex and we had a double income) but just couldn't justify it now. They charge anything up to £10 an hour and you need 3/4 hours.

hope the decorating goes well. 4 day week MTG and only 19 working days till half term!

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
The petrol thing is interesting. I've heard similar things about people keeping barely anything in the boot as well. Less weight burns less petrol.

How nice to plant strawberries. Glad you had your busiest day off.
