  • Afternoon Diary,

Busy morning here, cleaned the bathrooms, caught up with the washing and ironing. Tried to peg out but the patio just wasn't drying from the rain over night so I knew the washing wouldn't be either so put it in the drier. Still probably saved over an hours drying time in 2 loads and it is only February. Ive looked for next week and lots of rain forecast so I reckon yesterday was just a one off for a bit!!

So this afternoon its my nephews party, can't believe where the time has gone.

Other than that nothing planned, I have a joint of beef in the slow cooker so will be making a roast dinner with that. Not sure the girls be hungry after party food but they can have a bit later on.

    Hope all ok x

  • Afternoon Diary,

We've had an eventful couple of hours here last night. So basically where we live there is a listed mill in the middle of the housing estate basically being left to fall into disrepair. Well last night it started collapsing right into one of the neighbours garden. It was so bad our house shook. Anyway thankfully no-one was hurt, well put it this way if anyone had been in the way they wouldn't be alive right now. So I've got the bit between my teeth and I'm on with the local councillor to try and get the owners to deal with it.

In other news been to the dentist with DD2 re her filling, it was only a first assessment appointment and it was already melt down central. Need to go back next month for a filling.

Spends today are £1.60 on some potatoes in Mr T's.

    Think thats all x

  • Evening Diary,

Day one of the holidays is done! We haven't done much today but I have been to the gym which is an achievement!!! I actually smashed the gym tonight, I wish it felt like that all the time!!

    Food:
    Breakfast - 2 crumpets
Lunch - cheese and tomato omelette and beans
Tea - Roast beef, yorkshire puddings, mashed potatoes, carrots, leeks and broccoli
Snacks - Squares crisps, 3 rich tea biscuits and pear and raspberry smoothie

Tomorrow I have booked for me and the girls to see Trolls at the cinema and then we are meeting DH for lunch. Going to nip to £stretcher too as I've heard they do my pods for my coffee machine loads cheaper.

    Think thats all xx

  • Afternoon Diary,

Not long back from our morning out. Trolls was really good, we all enjoyed it, spent £14 all in including tickets, parking and popcorn and drinks. Also returned a pair of shoes to Schuh whilst I was down that way so thats £10 winging its way back to my account. Then £18 in McDonalds. Called in at £stretchers and Mr A's trying to buy cheap coffee pods but £S didn't have any left and Mr A's were more expensive that usual. I came home and found a voucher code in my inbox so ordered 4 boxes from N3scafe for £8 :money:.

2 loads of washing done today, towels and DD1s bedding.

Now I'm home and chilling :) xx

If you ever get chance, McD do vouchers on the back of the bus tickets in some places. It's great. Burger and fries for £1.99 it saves a tonne for the family if we go.

  • Evening Diary,

Half way through the holidays already... booooooo!!!

Had a busy day today, went to meet a friend at soft play and spent £30  on entry and lunch. Have no more pricey days out booked now thankfully!

DD's went to dancing this afternoon and I went off to the gym for half an hour.

That's about all really. I really love being at home and I'm fully up to date with jobs etc. Oh our microwave is dead! Was fine last time we used it, totally dead this morning for DD's porridge. I could tell it was on its way out last week and we have had it 14 years so can't complain. Not in a rush to replace for what we use it for.

    Food:
    Breakfast - weetabix
Lunch - jacket potato with chilli and cheese
Tea - BBQ chicken, hm oven chips, carrots and peas
    Snack - Hula hoops

DFOD, no news on the mill, the council are on to the owners of it though.

Bob, thanks for the tip we don't often get the bus though . My friend once gave me a voucher and when I looked we couldn't use that at drive thru McD's which of course ours is ha!!

    Think thats all x
