So I've just rounded my bank account down into my new VSP! Thanks SA read about this in your diary!!!

    Starting the new year with:
    52p - VSP
£14 - £2 coins (this was £16 but DH lost DDs £2 coin so gave her one of mine)
    £10.63 - savings jar

I also have £130 of my 'spending money' left with only £40 worth of commitments (nails and waxing!).

    Feeling positive x

Good luck with the VSP. Been doing this a few years now and it pays for Christmas and several other bits and bobs.

    Evening Diary,

Sad mummy tonight, back to work tomorrow booooooo :(

Had a busy day today, went to the gym this morning and then took the girls to spend some of their Christmas vouchers and money. I spent £10.80 on sea kelp supplements from H&B. Recently I've noticed my hair getting thinner near my fringe, I think this might be to do with my medication. Anyway loads of people on my IG take sea kelp as its supposed to help with hair growth and when I looked into it it also supports a healthy thyroid function so thought id give it a whirl. My friend asked me to get her some too so we will split the cost as one of the bottles only cost a penny! So basically £5.40 spent today.

Got home cooked tea, made soup for tomorrow, chopped veg to go in the slow cooker with chicken in the morning and did the last of my ironing. Just sat down and feel tired... hopefully il have a good sleep but I bet I'm wide awake when it comes to it.

In other news I'm really pleased that I've only put on 2lbs in December and obviously ate what I fancied and not frequented the gym too frequently :rotfl:. I have 4lbs to lose to get into the next stone bracket so full steam ahead now.

    Hope all ok xx

  • Well done on the slight weight gain, I didn't put on at all over Christmas which was pretty amazing (not mentioning what I have to lose!)

Hope work is ok! I'm back tomorrow.

    Afternoon Diary,

Day one.. done!!! It wasn't too bad actually no complaints!

Its soooo cold here today, glad to be in the warmth.

Need to go out later for my eyebrows waxing, so glad they seem to have grown loads this time ha!! That will be the only spends for today which come from my spending money.

Been on plan with my food today, even with boxes of celebrations in the staff room at school.

Breakfast - porridge with banana and nutella
Lunch - HM tomato and mozerella soup, wholemeal thin, apple
    Tea - shredded chicken fahitas
Snacks - pear, spinach and avocado smoothie

Still need to update my signature but need to fire up banger of old laptop to get to the spreadsheet so will do that another day.

    Hope all ok x

    Hi mummy,

Just delurking to ask about your spending money. How do you set this, I'm thinking I really need to spend some of my hard earned money on myself instead of just the kids.

Keep up the good work, I do so enjoy reading your diary
