Morning Diary,

Sorry I haven't updated just don't seem to have had a minute. The weather is nice today for the first time since Thursday which is a welcome relief as I was so sick of the rain! Only positive was I didn't need to water my plants!!

So I've had 2 NSD's in a row! That will end today as I need to go collect DH's coat which has been in for the zip repairing.

We go away on Friday and I'm up to my eyeballs in packing in the bedroom so currently ignoring it!! In true Mummy style though I'm getting every job done before we go i.e. house spotless and all bedding washed... does anyone else do this aswell?!

I always clean the whole house and empty the washing basket before we go on holiday, glad it's not just me. Hope you have a fab time

I'm the same mummy, always clean the house, hoover and mop through, all washing done, my husband thinks its hilarious and always says I don't think the burglars will care, I have been known to be hovering at 3 in the morning before setting off for a flight , but I cant stand the thought of going away and leaving the house untidy.

Afternoon Diary,

Thanks you guys, I think its the done thing generally!!! Always need to get the washing up to date as come back with loads and don't want it sitting around in the basket for over a week!

So I've been packed like a pro this morning, managed to get all off our things including beach towels into 2 suitcases. Have another little overnight case to pack for tomorrow night as don't want to have to open the big cases.

Ive had piles of towels on the bedroom floor to be packed and as I moved them a massive and I mean massive spider emerged!!! You should have seen me and DD2 trying to catch it, I had to put a pair of shoes on as can't stand the thought of it running over my feet and all I had to hand was a pair of heels from my wardrobe then DD2 emerged with a pair of ankle boots on... all this whilst wearing pjs!!! It wasn't funny and I was sweating with the stress after haha!!! Where is DH when I need him!

So all the bedding is washing and the final wash load will go in tonight ready for tomorrow. Tomorrow morning will be house clean, I've done the bathrooms already so they will be easier tomorrow.

Today will be a spend day, girls are in for their hair cutting this afternoon.

Morning Diary,

I am back!! We had a mammoth travelling day yesterday took 17 hours from start to finish and I have to say it wasn't too bad. The UK could certainly learn something from the French motorways! Finally got home at 10.30pm.

So we came past the 'Jungle' camp in Calais, that was a shocking sight it has to be said. It was huge and there was massive queues, not sure if they were for the facilities or something.

We ended up in some kind of police controlled stop on the road into the port and after DH reading something online this morning sounds like something had been kicking off prior to us getting there. Quite glad I was blissfully unaware of what actually goes on before I went!!

We had a fantastic time and hardly spent any money other than on food and petrol. Brought back 270 Euros which is unheard of for me!!

So today I am dealing with mount washmore! I have about 5 loads to do... 1 in the dryer (thanks British weather), 1 in the machine at the mo.

Think thats all from me, hope all ok x

Hi DF0D, still trying to emerge from washing and ironing mountain! 3rd load nearly done now, 2nd load in dryer (did try to peg out but bucketed down) and 1st lot ironed and put away.

Back to work tomorrow but only for a few hours as its a training day so doesnt really involve us. Were just catching up with everything. Kids back tomorrow too.
