    Evening Diary... and sit down!

Literally just sat down all day. Was up at 5am with a horrendously blocked nose but ended up back asleep! Set about my bathrooms this morning and then the garage rang (more on that in a min), got ready, picked car up, had fish and chips, took DD shopping to spend her birthday money, just hoovered up and sat down!

My friend is coming over tonight now and bringing a HM curry with her for us. Ive just got DD2 a telling off as her bedroom was horrendous. Clothes and pjs all over, wardrobes left open.. anyone would think we had been burgled. Ive told her anymore of this and I'm confiscating her new build a bear for a day. I was so cross as I spend so much time washing and ironing and then I find it all thrown across her floor and I don't know whats clean and whats not!

So the car, it passed yay! They're opening line to me was do you have a problem starting it as it wouldn't start for the mechanic. Ive never had a problem with it starting. Then he goes on to say that I have a non vauxhall stereo in it and thats draining the battery so I was like !!!!!! this car is 3 years old and the stereo is a fitted in one. Anyway next was the washers apparently these were blocked which we knew wasn't true as DH had only just checked them Thursday night!! I was like these problems are only advisories so leave them! Turns out they had mixed it up with the wrong car but it makes me wonder if they were trying it on to get a bit of extra money out of me since the MOT was free which I suspected they would do.

I had a little treat today. So those that have been around for a while know that I struggle to spend money on myself even when its my own 'spending money'. Ive really fancied some daisy perfume after smelling it one of our suppliers so I decided to buy some today. Spent £25 on that and £4 in lush on my fave bubble bar. I had £70 spending money left which isn't like me at all!

DH has enjoyed his birthday and he's now getting ready for his night out.

Think thats all from me xx

    Afternoon Diary,

Well I've had to have to completely lose it with these lot this morning! Ignore the next bit if you wish!

So yesterday I was complaining about DDs bedroom, well at 10am it was back to square one so I've confiscated her build a bear. Then just after id finished the bathroom DH decided it was time to go to the toilet . I was soooo mad I just went off on one. Anyway its worked as DDs bedroom is sorted and DH went back round the toilet with bleach. He's taken her to her swimming lesson, I've cracked on hoovered, polished and mopped and put the DW on for a clean and now I feel much calmer! Hate having to get cross but its seems the only way to get them into action sometimes.

Last night our curry was lovely, my friend did good and it was pretty healthy too. It was lovely to have a catch up. DH rolled in at 1.45am, he seemed to have a good night though which is good as he doesnt often go out.

Mr M's delivered my shopping this morning £68 spent. Just need to go get some fruit and veg for the week (I don't like theirs it always go off too quickly). Stocked up on alsorts for my £68.
Ive decided to subscribe to the Mr T's delivery saver for anytime. Ive got so used to getting my shopping delivered Tues but I think Sunday would be better and we might not have to have a top up shop then. Going to try it and see.

    Food:
Breakfast - 1 slice of toast
Lunch - Bacon and mushroom sandwich
Tea - Kiev, roast potatoes and veg

Right thats all from me. Hope all ok xx

  • Ooh how annoying, I do wonder whether mine lot think I actually enjoy cleaning and can't understand why I get fed up if there is a mess straight after I've tidied a room.

Sounds like you had a good night last night, hope you're enjoying your little treats x

Great news on the car passing it's MOT.

    Hi Chrysalis,

I know everyones the same with the trying to keep up with the house. I remember my mum going mad but it was more my brother and sister than me! Its the laziness of dumping washing right next to the basket aswell that winds me right up!

    xx

  • Me three in terms of grumbling at mess, though it was just DD, I'm lucky with my DH most of the time.

Glad you had a nice night with your friend!

  • Oh I'm so with you with the mess.

DD decides to have a shower the minute I clean it and always slops conditioner down the glass doors.
Why is washing always dumped next to the basket and not in it.
Plates left by the side of the sink.
DS has a minging habit of taking his socks off to whilst laid watching tv and then I find them stuffed behind a cushion, gross.
I wash and iron to find DD has dumped most of it on the floor.
Why can't anyone butme empty a bin, mine can be over flowing and still Dh will try and balance a yoghurt pot or crisp packet on top.
And don't get me started on teabags left on the side of the sink.
Can you tell I'm on one today, I really would love a house with alittle flat attached just for me. They could then make as much mess as they wanted and live like pigs and I would have a little haven to retreat to.lol.

I agree with you all on the mess front. We've just got back from a week's holiday after leaving DD in charge of the house, dog and cats. She thinks she's kept it clean! Ahem - I've spent the best part of today cleaning and burning incense and Yankee candles to try to get rid of the peculiar smell that greeted us on our return last night!
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

    Evening Diary,

I am absolutely shattered tonight, can't be doing with tired Mondays!!!

Im glad im not the only one complaining about the mess. Pennywise I could have written that post myself!!! SA I'm obsessed with the house smelling so always have some kind of candle or wax melt burning!!
I think they're getting it though! Tonight DD was in her bedroom playing and as soon as she saw me coming up the stairs so was like mum il be putting this back where it belongs!!!

Nothing too exciting to report. Ive caught up with my ironing, done 2 loads of washing and done the beavers/cubs run and now I'm sat down with a hot chocolate and will probably be asleep by 9.

Today is NSD6 :j Tomorrow I need to nip to the butchers for my weekly supplies and I'm out with friends for a curry (can feel those scales staying the same again this week).

    Food:
    Breakfast - golden syrup porridge
Lunch - HM tomato soup with wholemeal thin and muller greekstyle
Tea - quiche, mini potato waffles and beans and HM strawberry and raspberry smoothie
Snacks - banana, nakd bar, pufts crisps

Ive already made a salad to go with the leftover quiche for tomorrows lunch.

Thats about all from me! Hope all ok xx
