Morning diary, very long time no report!! Just do not seem to get the time at home anymore, theres always something that needs cleaning/tidying up!!
Not sure what to report MSE. Well ive been buying the paper for the £5 off at Morrisons, used one yesterday which was nice to get some money off. Got my meals sort of planned for this week:-
Mon - homemade bacon & mushroom pizza (had ingredients which needed using up!)
Tues - lasagne
Weds - Kievs (didnt have them last week!)
Thurs - Beef burritos
Fri - Omelettes & salad
Sat - Chicken fahitas
Sun - ??!!
Might have a little sw0p around as I dont really want to have fahitas and burritos so close to each other. Oh and I forgot to get the mince out so I can make the lasagne tonight for tomorrow.
Anyway, best get off. Happy Monday everyone x xMummytogirls x0 -

Morning diary, nothing too exciting to report!
Surveys were a bit thin in the ground yesterday so im hoping to log into some more this morning! Had a NSD yesterday which was the 3rd of the month, which is an achievement for me I can tell you.
Today however will be a spend day, need a card for DH's cousins 18th, plus bread and cheese for the kids sandwiches. DH forgot to tell me, dont you just hate when things are running low but people expect you to just know! I know im good but not psyhic (spelling!).
DH's mum reminded me it was the cousins 18th coming up, theres just always sommat isnt there. Im flipping sick of paying out unexpectedly. Anyway never mind I started to believe this is the norm and will not change!!
Hope your all ok x xMummytogirls x0 -
Morning mummy.
I am also supposed to psychic, muuuuuuuuuuuuum i need to take ............... to school, this is usually at ten to nine in the morning.
Ipsos is a funny one as sometimes the points are added straight away and others can take a few weeks, i just keep checking every few days to see if my points have gone up.0 -
Thanks pennywise, im beginning to think its part and parcel of being a mummy and a wife!! I can hear my mum 20 years ago in the back of my head and im now her haha!!!! Mind you she has chilled out a lot so theres hope yet!!
Thanks for the info on Ipsos will keep checking xMummytogirls x0 -
Morning diary,
So as predicted had a spend day yesterday, popped to Tesco express for a few bits, spent £7 so not too bad. Was supposed to get DH's cousins 18th card but the MSE in me just couldnt spend £3 on a card that wasnt even that nice. Backed up by the fact mil had a card out on the side for her for 79p from card factory!
Its her birthday today so ive said I will drop the card off tonight, after a mad lunchtime dash to card factory in town :rotfl:!!!! I absolutely dread to think how much ive spent on cards over the past 10 years, at £3 a go .
Ive got to over 750 points on Ipsos but im going to wait til 1380 points and get the higher voucher amount. Might aswell since im saving them for Christmas its not like im a rush for it.
Weathers pants here today so had to tumble dry some clothes, as I had planned on hanging them out but cant due to bad weather. Really need to get one of those airer things for the winter.Mummytogirls x0 -
Hi Mummytogirls,
Just read your opening entries briefly. I started a diary last year sometime and whilst its been a slow process changing spending habits and so forth I am starting to get there. Basically, I was like you spending £600 to £700 a month. Thats now down to £400/£450 a month and I have bills etc set to reduce, my mortgage and mobile will reduce by £150 and £20 respectfully in 3 payments time, not that Im counting!!!!. I no longer have any credit cards that I use, so basically I spend what I earn, and thats it. Its tight, v tight at times, however the bills are getting paid and we are getting there. Im selling stuff, baking and home cooking more and have cut out the luxuries totally. You are doing v well too so keep it up! Good luck . Im a mummy to one dd by the way!!My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)
May 2013 £124,080.27= £37,903.50 paid off WOW!!!!! Well done! There is a guardian angel out there! :AI'm visualising success, debt freeness, and happy days!:T0 -

Hi Positive & focused,
Thanks for your comments and inspiration that I can actually get my spending down!! I just feel at the mo that no matter how much I meal plan there is always something else I have forgotten about.
What this diary and reading other peoples has made me do is switch from branded food to supermarkets own and value in some cases (biscuits, kids yoghurts etc) we have noticed no difference what so ever food wise which can only be a good thing. Although it does make me so cross as to how much ive wasted in supermarkets over the years frittering money away. I suppose you cant live in the past though can you!
Last night I made a lasagne and I dont really have time to make my own tomato sauces at the mo I 'used' to buy dolmio. This week I thought sod it and bought the supermarkets own. Didnt want DH to see cos he would moan but he tried the bolognaise part out of the pan and then saw the empty jar on the side. He said have you used that? I thought oh here we go and he was like it just tastes exactly the same! So we are still eating well but spending less which is good.
The only thing is ive found im saving on my shopping but then something seems to pop up elsewhere and eat my money that way!!
Sorry for the ramble!! How old is your DD? Mine are nearly 4 and 1!Mummytogirls x0
