  • Got one :o)

I was refreshing every second, and when it appeared, 15 had already gone !! I clicked buy...... and nothing happened. Finally, the shopping basket screen came up - I clicked checkout......and nothing happened. After what seemed like forever, the checkout screen came up, I entered the three numbers from the back of my card (I'd already logged in and saved my card details), clicked confirm.... and once again, nothing happened.

then the order confirmation finally appeared :o)

If you want one of these, hammer the refresh button for about a minute before the hour, and then be patient if the page doesn't seem to update. I thought I woudl have lost my order, but I've got a feeling that if I'd have hit Buy again (or checkout when confirming my details), I'd have lost it.

So be patient when you click buy, and you might be lucky.

This is why I said its some sort of fix. How do they expect you to get one?

Why not sell 100? Why 40?

Most likely because with each one they sell at that price they are making a loss.
They'll pay nintendo more than that for each one.

I don't deny this is a publicity exercise from them, I mean, they need to recoup their losses somehow... but I still reckon it's no scam, just a very limited offer to raise awareness of their site.

Thats Rubbish, They pay ALOT less than £50 them, They purchase bulk items of these for cheap prices compared to what they sell. There making a profit on this even if they sell at £50

Thankfully it went through at £51.49

    But

Does anyone know whether you get to keep your reward points (500 on this purchase) if you take back the item to a game store for a refund via their 10 day no-quibble return policy?

I know the manager of a gamestation who has told me that on consoles they don't make a great deal even selling them at full RRP. Money is made on games, and on giving way less than value on trade ins.

A DS lite at 50 quid is a loss leader by a pretty fair margin.

Hmm, not sure. But I wouldn't take it back even if you didn't want it. Given that you could sell it for at least 75 quid within a week.

Hehe, where are you? wanna swap for a black?
