Hi Saucy, I'm really good today thanks, feel healthier than I have all month so I have been taking advantage of it
I took the jewellery that I posted pics of the other night to an independant jewellers 20 mins away and he told me that the earrings are very real :j He couldn't be sure how much they are worth without sending them off but he said the stones were real and they must have cost an absolute fortune and they are now at least 24 years old!! So I have let him send them off with the other bits and for £7 I will get a full valuation of it all. I can't quite believe that they are real, God Bless my late Aunt Flo - Wonderful woman that she was!!
I also went to see my dad n family for an hour n he read my blog, told me to print out what I have written so far and to send it to a publishers, I figure it can't harm so that is my plan for tomorrow!
Posted some more ebay stuff that sold last night so I am now £100 up just from decluttering my bedroomWoooo
Happy Happy Babymoo today0 -
heeelp! just been invited to interview for the cafe job and its this thursday!!!
Have absolutley no idea how to prepare for this as I have no cafe experience which was clear on my application!
Oh well will just have to go and respond the best I can.
Jo x
Jo - you can only do your best, and if that is what they want the GREAT! In the current climate you have done fantastically well to get an interview - they were obviously impressed with your 'late' application ! Go Get 'Em Girl!!! :rotfl: Fingers crossed for Thursday!!YummyMummy20 wrote: »I've just updated my signature and ignoring the fact that my running total for this challenge has gone SERIOUSLY the wrong way (can't stop buying beads :rotfl:) everything else is looking pretty good. I literally can't believe I've paid pennies away from a grand off my debt this year (baring in mind me and DS live on approx £850pm and Preschool is £250, it's a MASSIVE achievement for me, mostly down to money from this though, not my regular money but who cares, it's paid, that's what matters!
Sorry if I sound all gloat-y I'm just a little bit in shock after figuring it all out. Debts down a grand-ish, £100 xmas savings, £275 in regular savings/challenge monies, actual money in the bank for once. When this MSE stuff kicks in it really kicks in.
I had to share, you guys understand, my friends would mostly think I'm weird, (although they do anyway since they have to hold my hand to make me go in the pound shop) It's just nice to realise that we don't have to be broke forever. Sorry.. again.
EDIT: Is it sad that I just paid the pence amount to round down my bank balance to a card JUST so I could say OVER a grand rather than NEARLY a grand??
You have done so well - fantastic news! :j Think I am lucky to have made £30! I really love hearing how everyone is doing as it gives me a little kick to say do better!!SaucySecrets wrote: »God I'd forgotten about him...I better text him and see where he is, lol. No I've been doing it ages but I've only just started putting what I get each campaign, other people I saw do it and I thought it will give me an idea how its going and if its getting better or worse.Sealed pot challenge 18750 -
Hope you feel better later Saucy and that you find the Mexican. Got a mental pic a la the Fast Show with the family of Mexicans that just appear in random places playing panpipes. Perhaps he's busking to help pay for the lacy stuff?!0
