Well done 2cats' DD, that is an amazing opportunity!
Well I finally updated my blog. I'm taking Dilli's advice and getting a few more ready now to post through the week. I love writing, and this is the first time I've had opportunity to try my hand at it since school, many many years ago. I find it hard to get started, but once there is a line written, I'm off! I find it really relaxing, not sure why.
Went running this afternoon and found it really difficult. We did the 5k in 41 minutes last week, 43.5 on Thursday, and today I wanted to beat the 41. But it was SSOOOOOO windy, despite the lovely sunshine, and it was really difficult to get my breathing right. I ended up stopping for a minute twice, which really annoys me as I know I can get round without stopping. But when we got back round I was over the moon to find we had done it in 38.5 !! So I must have been running faster than normal, which is probably why I was struggling.
There were a lot of tourists there when we got back to the bridge, and it hit me that I totally take the view there for granted. The sun was shining on the hills and the water was choppy with the wind, and it was really beautiful. I live in such a lovely place - in a big city but with countryside just 10 minutes away in 3 directions.
Life is good at the moment. I'm sure it is because Spring is here.:jI shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.0 -

OMG just had confirmation through that DD has a place on the youth orchestra in France in the summer. She'll be away for 11 days rehearsing with the orchestra and doing two concerts at the end. Her French and music teachers will be thrilled, but I don't have to be psychic to predict that I will spend the first 11 days of August worrying myself sick about her.

She plays violin (and saxophone and piano, but violin in the orchestra). She is high as a kite tonight - chattering away about it 19 to the dozen. Hope she isn't going to be like this until August!0
