really need help fast please

I have dropped a complete boob, having a very bad day.
And accidentally put diesel car oil in the diesel pump, not masses about half a bottle. What can I do? anyone

    Have you put diesel in a petrol car or petrol in a diesel car or something else involving engine oil for a diesel car?

    You've put oil in the fuel tank? half a bottle?

    Which size bottle?

    Looks like alfiemama has done what we so often suggest. Gone and got it sorted out rather than waiting for a group of randoms on the internet to make suggestions of wildly varying usefulness.:)

    Half a bottle of engine oil in a diesel fuel tank is harmless.

    Yeah I'd have thought so, the diesel should thin out the oil. I believe most oil flushes are just diesel in a can.

    I've run my car from pure engine oil on a couple of occasions, when unable to refuel (middle of Wales at night). Mind you, to fix my engine you can hit it with a hammer.
