Solar Reflective Roof Paint?

We have a conservatory with a perspex roof that is incredibly hot in the summer (off the scale on the thermometer). We are fitting black out blinds to keep the sun out during the day and have discovered that there are Solar Reflective/glass shading Paints available on the market which they claim are suitable for our roof to reduce the glare and heat.

Does anyone have any experience of using this type of paint?

The only ones I know of and have used are those you paint on the inside of the green house (its white chalky stuff) but I would not want that on the inside of a conservatory.

When you say black out blinds they are actually white I hope to reflect the heat (sun, rays, or what ever it is).

The window blinds were going to install have a silver side that faces out that blocks out the day/sunlight and ensures the room is dark on the inside therefore reducing the amount of heat marginally in the room during the day.

However, we need to reduce the amount of heat that builds up due to the perspex roof so thought the paint may be an option for the roof only which is already opal in colour so a special white pain wouldnt look too out of place on the roof

We had something put on a roof at a previous house but my memory of this is not good as it was quite a while ago.

The liquid that was painted on was a silvery white colour when it dried and it was supposed to reflect the heat, it was rubbish tbh, the heat still built up to an unbearable level.

We found that the only thing that worked was when the roof was shaded.
