Payment by cheque changed to Direct Debit

Hope someone can help with this work related question.

We have had 3 photocopiers for a number of years, contracts taken out at different times. Payments have always been made via cheque.

We recently did a deal on a new 4th machine but agreed to pay via DD. We've just received invoices on two of the other machines and it's now stating that payments will be taken via DD.

Can a supplier change the payment method on other contracts without our permission? DD mandate was signed in conjunction with new contract and had nothing to do with contracts already in place.

If they're all with the same company? Not unusual that they will want to issue a single invoice for the total of your monthly indebtedness ..... as opposed to issuing 4 x separate ones.

..... they clearly consider it was in relation to your billing in general. Take it up with them ..... should be readily resolvable.

Yes, I would have expected one invoice but they are still invoicing seperately which is odd.

Anyhoo, I've taken up with supplier as they really should have informed us of any change to payments.

Have they offered a discount l wonder for one DD covering machines...worth asking...lol after all it's less admin for them
