let someone older with experience teach you how to money manage

when starting out, you have all that money, but maybe you need a little help perhaps in learning internet banking, & how to control your spending. hot tip - wait till the end of the month before buying stuff like new jeans / trainers..Worst bank to have is the halifax if you go into overdraft it's £1 per day, go over it (my son did) and its £5 a day. that equals hundreds of pounds a year! it just pays the fat bankers:o swop, and get a £100 bonus from A & L:j:T

Halifax most certainly do not charge £1 a day for overdrafts on student accounts. They are interest-free up to £3000, and 0.58% over £3000. http://www.halifax.co.uk/bankaccounts/interestrates.asp
