Gas bill for standard 3 bed house?
Options
I am looking to move out of rented and into a 1940's ex LA stye house, really good solid property with new GCH... I am currently paying over £100 in oil a month (very old draughty cottage with a very inefficient 36 yo boiler, I am not frivoulous with heating!), how much should I look to pay a month for gas? I have never had gas before so no idea how much it will cost!! Hope someone can help, depseratly trying to put together a budget!

Not an easy question to give an accurate answer as it depends on so many factors.
Cost per kWh, how long you want heating on, efficiency of boiler, what temperature you find comfortable, insulation of property etc etc
From end of October last year until 1st Feb this year my bill was £300 heating was on most days but on low0 -
Go to a comparison site and enter 20500kWh for gas and 3400kWh electricity per annum. See what it comes up with. The above figures are around the 'national average'. It is only a ball park figure for you start with and may be too high or low depending on a variety of factors. You won't know your true annual usage till after living there a year. But at least you have something to work from for now.0
