Spotify - does anyone have an invite token please!

I would like to join spotify but it needs a 'token'.

Does anyone have a spotify token please - I would like to join but it's the BETA version and I need to be invited.

Any help would be appreciated.

Same here. i've been trying forever to get an invite and hacks and codes but every trick didn’t work! i ended up getting an invite for $17 from bundlethemes . com / spotify-invite

I found a lot of these "I bought a spotify account for $17" when using Google.

While at it I also found

Said to sell an invite for a free account for £3.99.

That is about half the $17 price from the dodgy looking bundlethemes site.

Not that this other site is all that less dodgy looking.

Me, I would wait for a proper invite for free.

Or try GrooveShark which is said to have more tunes on it (I have not tested the veracity of that statement yet).

I found a site with more invites, my website has the details. (25/3/2010)

I now find I use Grooveshark almost as often as Spotify, as it does NOT have the irritating interruption of my Tangerine Dream listening with BT adverts all the ruddy time. (Ruddy is a red colour)

I can also find stuff on Grooveshark that spotify has not got.

Right, let me say that I have not been able to test this as my mobile phone is out of action.

So, if some brave member wants to give this a go, I am not to be held responsible for any problems with text messages costing far too much, due to being "international" and roaming charges, and all the other malarkey associated with the greedy Mobile Phone operators.

I "pretended" I was from France and got to the popup asking for my mobile phone number.

It is supposed to send you an invite code to your mobile. Unlike the email request option that we in the UK are lumbered with, this invite code looks like it will appear within a day. Hopefully in minutes in fact.

Not sure if it will check the geographical status of your phone, or the fact that the form is initiated in the UK (which it detects as any error page has "uk" in the URL).

If it does, I would have assumed it would not initiate the popup mobile number capture form in the first place.

If anyone tries this and it works, let the rest of us know, especially about the text charges, if any.

If it does work, it may only work for 14 days, then stop, for the usual reasons that if you say you are in one country but access spotify from another and are NOT Premium, they freeze access after a fortnight.

If it does work, someone can post this on HUKD. Just mention me in passing.

I am also testing another source of invites that took me ages to find. So far no email, but it is only a few minutes since I sent off the request.

See separate post, if I can be bothered with all the fuss involved in trying to do people favours and getting banned for doing so.
