You need to get 8-9K to clear your loan, right?

I don't think you'll get that in one hit on a 0% super balance transfer card. So, the question is, if you were to save every penny you can, and put your normal essential purchases on a 0% purchase card, how quickly could you pull the 8-9K together?

Principle is that if you get 0% purchase card with say a 5K limit that you can use for your normal shopping and you can save another 4K yourself by cutting back, then you'll have the money that you need to clear it.

You'll be left with a balance on the 0% purchase card that you can then look to transfer elsewhere or pay back before the 0% period ends.

Brilliant, thanks guys, understand now. Will get the calculator out and start doing some sums.

As you say first step is then to try and get a 0% purchase card. I'll let you know how I get on.
