Hotels...B&Bs anyhting for a long weekend in London

Basically me and three friends would like to visit London either early august, 25th aug or 1st sept. Were travelling up on the friday and want to book somewhere for three nights...Any combination of rooms will do us we dont mind sharing a famaily room or four singles or whatever. We need some sort of wash facilites and preferably near a tube/train station so we can get t central London...Any ideas? Ive been searching but Im useless All I can find is a travel lodge for £220...is this cheap? Or somewhere else be better?

Hi,

I stayed at the Holly House Hotel. It is literally 2 mins walk from Victoria Station, not far from Buckingham Palace. It is basic, but you get a TV and tea and coffee making facilities and the rooms are clean. It is shared bathroom, but they are clean and fine for a few nights.

It would work out £288 B&B for all four of you for the weekend of August 25th.

Does anyone know if its possible to get a twin room and sleep on the floor?? I assume thats not allowed but its and idea theyve came up with

I doubt that you'd be able to sneak them past reception, plus there's also fire regulations.......................

Have you looked on www.hotelscomparison.com ? Quite a good search engine, scanning alot of the normal discount websites, like venere.com

£220 is cheap. You can go Youth Hostelling https://www.yha.org.uk. Then you can make your own meals and cut costs that way We stayed at Holland Park Hostel near the tube and near shops for food. That's if you don't mind bunk beds!

Have you tried travelodge, for the saver rooms? You may get one just outside nut they are ok.

My big tip if you can hold out.....Check out https://www.laterooms.com and bag a bargin. We did this a few weeks ago, and ended up with a room in a three star hotel with breakfast for £35...for the room not each!!
