entertainment i'll trim as much as i can. you need too!!

groceries, i'll do as advised and meal plan and work out what i need to buy - we rely too heavily on buying food by the day or as and when we need it, as opposed to buying in weekly, fornightly, or monthly shops.
This is why it is so high! i spen 150 a mth for 4 of us - was hard but i had too cut back, so it is possible
rang o2 the other day they wont budge on the contracts, even when i said i couldnt afford them. Haggle!! They can reduce and people on here have done so - keep on at them! i cant believe how high it is:eek:
sky broadband has 3 months left before i can cancel... you can reduce package even if in contract, i also cancelled mine completely with 7 mths remaining!

Its easy to be shocked and horrified when we can see so clearly something as horrific as 140pm on mobiles on someones SOA - but some people have no money sense etc and that is one of the reasons they come here for help and support and that is what we should aim to provide - nothing wrong with being a bit blunt - a dramatic lifestyle change is going to have to happen immediately but we can be supportive 2;-)

    everyone has been supportive!

we set up sky in the bridges shopping centre in sunderland, the bloke made us fill out the form, and he rang through and arranged an installation date. then sky came out and set it all up.

Do you have iphones? do you still have your old phones lying around? could you sell them to put towards paying for the bills?
You could try again, explain that you will end up defaulting on your payments as you cannot afford them and it would be in everyones best interest if you could reduce them. You could even offer to send back the phones!. Do you have bolt-ons (or whatever) that you can drop right down?

Do you have anything else you can sell ebay/amazon/gumtree/car boot etc?

Mate, is this some sort of a joke?!

Normally I would let other experienced members comment on your SOA but I think we would be wasting their time when they could be helping others who are actually serious about dealing with their debts.

Spending £140 pm on phones? (no wonder you have to use her bath water) £150 pm on entertainment? £300 pm on groceries? £50 pm on presents and clothes? No wonder you getting hit with £100 pm in bank charges.

If this is a joke it is a sick joke. If it isn't then I think you need to have a serious re-think about your lifestyle. Once you have done that and come up with a proper SOA, I am sure people will be more than willing to help.

i know everyone has been supportive i just thought this was a bit rough - true maybe but not necessarily helpful
  • Kpr11 that was a harsh post, when I first posted on here I was been honest with my soa at that time I had no idea what I was spending and thus is wheni had further realisation. So to make a new member feel like they are time wasting becaus ethey budget 50 quid on entertainment s downright rude and in my eyes very offensive! No wonder sme people post and disappear!

I may have been a bit blunt and harsh. :embarasse

Part of me thinks that the lad needs a hair dryer treatment for going out there and getting his and hers iphone 3gs plus spending £10 per day on food :eek:when he is getting whacked with £100pm in bank charges.

Another part thinks, at least he is trying to make amends so well done to him! :T
