hi all
i'm trying to get charges back from RBS (and also Lloyds too). i got sent a letter from RBS dated 24th feb saying that it was a final response and i was going to get nothing from them. ok you may think. BUT got a letter dated 26th Feb with no mention of final response and this one says happy to address any questions from this letter and if not happy we will provide you with FOS details. a slightly different response.
so my question is, i was going to just go to the FOS but now i'm thinking shall i send a cheeky we letter saying i have a strong case etc first and wait and see or go straight to the ombudsman?
hope that makes sense. i'm actually claiming on behalf of other half, after my sizeable efforts she is no longer struggling and she has a good job etc so i dont think we have a stong case but wait and see. darn banks, wish i had discovered it earlier and got the claim in pre 2007.
not a fan of the FOS we have a claim in for PPI and it has been a 14 months and still no decision. i had to complain about the complaints service!
thanks for any ideas in advance.
