  • Has anyone's order from Boots arrived yet?? This mainly goes out to anyone who was successfull with multiple orders using different registered accounts.

Yep received many orders. What are peoples thoughts on this code ordering exactly? Why is it taking Boots so long to catch onto this? I realise the codes haven't quite expired but...I can't beleive a company like Boots can allow such errors especailly online thorugh their website. Do you think this may have been done purposely to just help clear stock? even if they have...to have somthing delivered to your door for less than 10p is crazy they can't make any money on sales like that surely..?

I don't feel guilty about using the codes once (in fact 3 of them were sent to me, anyway), but I can't re-use them under different accounts - my conscience is seriously pricked!! I was like this with the La Redoute codes too. I'm probably too honest for my own good!!

Even though Boots are charging £3.50 per delivery this silly pricing can only be as a result of stupidity.
Either someone isn't watching their online sales, or they have issued customers with discount vouchers but have no way of tracking who they sent them to, or who has redeemed them. And their T&Cs shouldn't allow the voucher discount to come off the postage, so looks like an IT issue.
And presumably no-one at Boots has the job of reading Martin's Money Tips on a daily basis!! (I'm sure the likes of Tesco, Argos, WH Smith and Sainsbury's have by now! - it would seem MSErs are better at finding the faults with their sales processes than their own IT teams are :D )

i suppose it could be a similar type ploy as the 50% off discount code last year. But there is no way they would not have noticed - i'm sure if even the staff working in the warehouse would be more than aware of the higher than normal number of small orders.

It surely cannot be mere stupidity - that would be bordering on commercial insanity. Perhaps it's to get rid of stock, or higher turnover, or to make the figures for number of orders processed look a little better for the accounts.

Whatever they are playing at they could have achieved it much more effectively by offer free postage - i would be pretty annoyed if i paid them £3.50 to post something via first class delivery.
  • I have just managed to get one order out of the EFMM22 code, but when I tried to order again, it kept coming up with "Sorry this promotional code is not available"
Tried all the codes listed, with the same message.
Anyone else had the same problem....or is it something I am doing wrong?

  • FKMM22 is still working on orders over £4 on the 1/2/05

    Hmmm,

This might explain why one of my orders has gone absolutely no where. All the items that I've ordered could be out of stock...so they can't send me anything.
