Hi,
Can anyone help please? I have bought a new laptop as my old one gave up the ghost and I am dismayed to find that there is no easy way to transfer the contents of my Ipod Touch to my new PC. It almost wiped my entire Ipod after trying to sync it to the new blank library on my computer! I have phoned Apple and they have only helped to recover the purchased songs. However, I have some 500 photos and lots of songs I transferred from my CDs to my Ipod that I cannot get onto my computer now.
I have tried various so called 'free' software sites that claim to transfer between the two, but when you actually download them, they are only free for the first 10 or 100 songs. Has anyone discovered any software that can do this that is really free please?
I object to paying for something that I should not have to pay for since they are my songs from my CD collection and I am not breaching any copyrights! I never knew this would be so difficult when I got the new laptop. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks..

Hi
There's lots to choose from.
Sharepod often gets recommended.

Hello,
I posted how to do this for free using only your iPod (never tried it with an iPod touch) and iTunes here:

Good luck,

I think the iTouch needs specialist software as opposed to the iPod. I did it once before (for free) but can't really remember what software I used. You need to look for software dedicated for the iPod Touch as I think only this will work.
Download.com chucks up this one (which is free), which seems to be compatiable with the iPod Touch, but I havn't tried it.The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

Thank you to everyone who replied. I tried the Sharepod download - it was very easy and managed to back up all my music and photos from my Ipod Touch to my PC. It has all worked with Itunes as well so now I can Sync the Ipod without wiping all my data. Am very happy - cheers!0
