Using the 2for 1 link, 3 different Holiday Inns at Heathrow are £27.50 a night to £37.50 (dearer one is a Crowne Plaza with pool and sauna) a night for dates 2 May to 4th May.

The price usually quoted is the room price per night, so that would be right that it would be £119 for 2 nights. It would normally be £119 for 1 night, so you are getting 2 nights for the price of 1.

could it be that price because the 3rd of may is a bank holiday?
why would it say 59.50 per day then charge me 119?

It is £119 for one night, so as it is 2for1, it should show show up as £119 for the 1st night and 0 rate for the second night, when you check the booking price. It is £59.50 per night as £119 divided by the 2 nights is £59.50 per night.
