At some point a long time ago my partner must of signed for insurance on his card. The bank say they have no way of giving us details of this company who debit his account every year. He can't cancel the standing order because according to the bank it's something he has to contact the company about. It's a company that uses my partners bank's logo so how can they not know who it is?! We have no paper work with the companys details to cancel it ourselves. The irony is that if my partner does at some point need to claim on this insurance that he is paying for, we couldnt anyway!!! I think it's outrageous and we desperately need some advice.

Is it insurance to cover your payments if you are ill or card protection in case you lose your wallet?

Hmmmm...as far as i know it's just general card protection?....that's the thing, we have no idea. No body can tell us anything because the bank cant even tell us who it is thats taking money out of my partners account...sorry for my ignorance but i am @ work and not at home with the mentioned partner!!!

Is the insurance paid every month as a percentage of your balance and shown on your statement or is it just paid once a year?

Just contact both of the companies to see if they have record of you. Phone numbers should be on the website

you would think so wouldn't you?! but no...they have no way of telling us the details, they say it's because it's something that my partner has set up by himself with this un-know company....
